cupcakes

I know its expensive to attend this cooking school's classes... but they are a little different... Highclass yes... cos owner is someone highclass... althou ii find her only friendly with people who are prob richer... alot of people carry coach, 1 carry prada... but there are some "simple" people (i'm one of them) . Most of all her classes her chefs she invites are of really high standard. she is related to the Lee family...she published her grandma's recipe book ...peranakan food and my mum has the old one bought ages ago! i got her the new 2 year ago... and now attending classes at her school.

I learnt a great deal today about decorating cupcakes! i enjoyed the class althou wished i got more friends with me... the chocolate cake is the DARK kind.... not chocolti brown but Black brown... yet to try it but it smelt soooo gooood. Its a gift for gx ... anniversary gift... something i made... long time never baked and 1st time learnt how to decorate... fun! bot more expensive cocoa powder and paper cups cos i wana make more of these nice cupcakes... but of cos i will be doing the simplier versions of icing and creams... and also had a try at using mazipan! fun! i made peapod, bee and flowers!

when we were done they gave us a box and ribboned it up for us! wana see my end product? i did a few simple ones cos we had 12 cupcakes to decorate! first try at piping cream...not easy need steady hands! and here's my 1st try.....!

this is a closer pic of the cupcakes i did before i packed them up!looking forward to attend the other 2 classes i signed up... esp the japanese-french pastries class... feel like attending baking school in japan or france... am dreaming! gog to sign up for the drawing class in school... so broke but rich in other ways...

will post more photos when gx opens his gift! he yet to see it cos he worked afternoon shift today! will take the chocolate cupcake texture! any orders???
