glad i went along! moreover its friday!

Friday 29th , its a slow day for me. time crawled but i was busy at work. the cramps made me somehow feel slow, slowmotioned. thou i am moving i felt that gravity is pulling me down. after school had tuition. after tuition, took a bus to an unknown area to meet the rest of the group. hate the feeling of dun know where i am... where am I? i dun know! anxiety sets in, behaved like a lost little gal... really wanted to nap on the bus, esp when i heard the uncle behind snoring... i kept my eyes opened wide and though i paid attention to details, true enough i got off the wrong bus-stop... i was lost.... with the cramps i walked on to the next bus stop... irene found me.

i did think of skipping this outing cos i dun feel well... but i pushed that tot back cos its first of all irene's bdae celebration, i didnt want to miss the nice company, my first outing with the gals, then its friday, moreover i didnt wana be alone at home sulking in pain, gx had company dinner. mum's at dinner too. and i am glad i went for the early dinner cos i found a new place to eat! the food here is good! very nice! love the briyani rice! light, very light and fragrant. the prawn masala is to die for cos well i hardly see any place serving the kind of huge prawns my mum cooks. cos its expensive. yes my mum buys gigantic prawns for weekend cooking. the chilli was very fragrant. loved it with the briyani rice! love the squid! the texture was right and just the right chewy consistency, hate it when its too rubbery. but this had it all esp the rite taste.

the fish cutlet patties was my least favourite. cos everything with gravy and sauce taste better. with 2 veg given and loads of papadum. thou just 3 dishes+2 veg condiments it was a good filling dinner but jojo had to have fish, so she ordered a slice. the fish curry was superb. here they are famous for the fish head curry. the dinner was heavens. my tummy felt warm and nice esp when i down 2 cups of ginger tea with the indian dishes. irene recommends the cold mango lassi. prob try it with fishhead curry when i come back next time.

after the meal at Kurus, we split. v went on with her evening outing, the 3 others head home, well irene was kind enough to accompany me to the Rail Mall. loacted near Upper Bt Timah Rd. she said its 20mins walk and i was game for it. very full but not stuffed and thou tired, moreover walking in my heels, i wanted to walk. lucky for us the rain in the day time gave us a cooling evening. had a nice talk with irene during the walk. we went into an oragnic shop to browse. irene is very health conscious. she knows alot about the good things. she was looking through everything. i just wanted to rest my feet! i sat down while she carried on with her browsing.

just as we were about to exit, ir decided on trying out the rum and raisin icecream. that started our spree... i chanced upon the kettle chips and found that this shop sells it at a cheaper price... i am in need of chips and chocolate during cramps. Honey dijon is definitely my favourite. decided to try out 2 other flavours. then i spoted these FruitaBu. had to have them, looks like heathy sweets for the kids. felt like having them for myself, dun think i will stop at one thou. ir bot them too. while we were paying up, ir asked for the price of the Tahini black sesame paste with honey, i bought one cos ir says it very nice as a bread spread. ir bot ricecakes. from nothing to a full bag, we sat outside the shop so that ir can finish her icecream while i rest my legs. after walking thru the whole stretch, it was time to go home.

i was glad i came out though all the bus ride to the dinner place and bus ride from railmall to home were all long journeys. i was pretty happy to be on the bus listening to eason's new cd. sometimes bus ride (as long as they are not packed!) is a nice way to travel.

should or shouldn't

what should i do? what shouldn't i do? when should i do it? when shouldn't i do it? where should i do it? where shouldn't i do it? how should i do it? how shouldn't i do it? why should i do it? why shouldn't i do it?

But the main question is SHOULD I DO IT OR SHOULDN'T I DO IT???

gosh so many things to consider! so to do or not to do.... placed this matter at the back of my mind for so long. i need an answer. for now i am gog to rest... i am tired still recovering from flu... body still aching... i need to sleep and wake up for pilates.

up close with eason

thanks to dap, i got to meet eason face to face even thou it was just for a personal one minute! yes i did felt alittle old to be standing waiting for my favourite singer to appear. but who says i was the oldest? there was this auntie...(sorry to the lady cos i have to emphasize that i am not that lao!) it was good to see him on stage, i was 5 heads away from the stage. but we had been standing for almost 1hour++++ then he came out from his interview! please for goodness sake the management should take note NOT to arrange such stuff before and make so many people wait.

i missed his concert this year but was glad to have a chance to see him again and up close. his voice is so powerful, his personality so childlike and real. he was fascinated with singing on the round stage and having so many people on the other levels above him.
he is very serious looking when he signed the cd albums. but when someone talks to him, he response to them. after he signed my album, he thank me and we shook hands. Personally i got to tell him that YOU ARE AWESOME! and he replied with a twinkle in his eyes THANKS! yes gerald knows about it and he's fine with it and he even said HEY y didnt you tell him about the wedding proposal! i am so glad i got a good fren and a good hubby!

Spa party for Wendy

Wendy is leaving in early sept to Australia... relocating there for 2 years or more... So we threw a spa party at la touche. angie's spa. right after school, headed straight for my massage... i needed one badly! wendy was already going thru her massage when i arrived. the massage was good. i was still down with my flu and i was so tired that i fell deep asleep... penny had arrived and eilen was in the room for her massage when i woke up...

dinner : angie ordered sushi from a japanese restaurant. mostly cooked topping and fillings for the sushi cos we have got 2 preg ladies! one's having her 4th and the other having her 2nd baby. the sushi was nice. there was tempura prawns for each of us.

for PJ party how can we not have pizzas! we had 2 choices for pizza from Sarpino's. we were all very hungry after the massage! but it did felt alittle funny to be in pjs at her shop front esp when people who walked past looked in!

then after dinner we proceed inside to sit on the couches to chat. we chatted over some seriuos issues and of cos most of the time we were laughing our hearts out. it was good to see everyone again. what i love about this group is we share our experiences and we can chat about anything. very minimal gossips, we rather be laughing at ourselves and i like that! we never pick on each other, we jus laugh it of!

i went on to serve dessert. the panna cotta that got me very worried! i kept worrying that it might not set! cos when i did it on thurs i wasn't in a very clear mind. mil fell sick and came home. but i had promised the gals the dessert. i was worried for mil while doing the dessert. to scoop 12tbsp of water, i recounted 3 times to get it right. and i wasn't even sure if i had the correct number when i added the gelatine! i felt that i either added too much water or too little gelatine. it took a long time to set and when i went to bed, i jumped out to check on it again if it had set! it was still soft... but lucky thing is that it still stood well when i transfered it onto the plates yesterday... just a little softer. glad the gals liked it.

cos there was only 3 of us drinking the sparkling wine... i drank 2 glasses and i felt so sleepy! i left the party early and i drop dead on my bed once home! i wish wendy all the very best! she is a lucky woman with beautiful family. a nice husband and 2 cute kidos. i find the couple very brave to make such a big decision. i hope they do well over in australia! she would be my 2nd friend who is staying in Australia!

its tuesday and its Dap's bdae!

dap's bdae! after cracking my brains where to go, we decided with today's trip. straight after school hurried to meet her. our first stop Disney Naturally. its a small disney theme cafe. i had tot it was much bigger and had more disney decor.

but still the place is nice just alittle too open... i like the mickey chairs. at the corner tucked 2 computer centres for kids to log on. around the monitor is of cos mickey. then the cute sink for kids to wash their hands.

suppose to come here for waffles but i was starving so we ordered the mickeymouse shaped pizza. ordered the turkey ham and pineapple pizza. not bad, quite cute think kids will love it! while waiting for the waffle, we watched nemo on the big screen.

the waffle was sooooooo small! and was not happy that it wasn't mickeymouse shaped! on the menu it was stated its mickeyshaped.... and so was the picture on the menu... and so small! its comes with one scoop of ice-cream and bananas, jus that its dap's bdae so it came with 2 scoops. after the pretty full teatime, we head to ikea. while dap wanted to check out the boxes, i was there for my ginger cookies.

then we took a bus to our main destination. Gillman village. thou i have been here for many times, i only come here to eat zhicha. at least 5times? or more! and it would be my 2nd time to handles bar. we were still filled to have dinner so we took a walk on the long bridge to little bali and started our photoshoot. i am never tired of this simple bali wall and door. love the polariod we took but for those polariods will post when dap send them to me. very different feel. the colours were beautiful and i like the polariods pics better.

at the end of our tour, we reached the place where we were going to have dinner to celebrate her bdae. Handles Bar. on some day you may get to see alot of harleys here. its where they gather. but not tonite. this place is filled with motorbike gadgets, photos and alot of bikers stuff.
dap ordered an apple cooler while i had the grape cooler. we mixed both coolers cos dap's was alittle too sour. was glad gx could make it after work to join us after his late meeting. he came down pretty fast cos its not very far from his office. found some cool things i like, the south park kenny helmet is so cutez. then this toothpick holder is cool! just like straw dispenser, press and the toothpick rolls out!
we chose to sit inside cos there is more things to check out. things were hung or placed everywhere. the tables were all filled with roadtrip pics. we had to use nightmode to take pics inside thou cos its really dim. the coolest seats has to be these 2 electric guitar chairs. the music here is very different... heavy metal, rock - expect loud music at loud volume!

gx said the seat dap is sitting on could be the seat on a harley d? we ordered a beer-battered fish and chips and gx ordered a cheeseburger. the beef patty was huge but he say once he bites on it, the minced beef breaks up completely! i like the fries here. i feel that to come here, must come with the right people.
then we left for drinks at little bali or villa bali. i had a bad scare around the corner when we left handles bar! might blog about it other time. we gals sat on the daybed and it was nice environment, reminded gx of bali.
we talked and laughed and chilled out and i was glad that it rained in the day cos it wasn't hot that nite. the place wass alittle dark to take too many polariods but the ones we took turned out pretty well.

gx had baileys coffee while dap drank the mango margaritta. i simply just wanted and needed my lychee martini. dap's choice was nice! like a freeze just that theres alcohol content! thou i have been to this area a few times, it was my first time in here. not too bad as a place to gather for drinks.
then dap and i went around to check out the place. i believe in the evening this place is prettier cos more to see and not too hot and can sit thru to see the sunset and enjoy the nite breeze. well the bdae gal was happy with the bdae arrangement. wanted to get her a slice of cake but seriuosly thinking it was not worth to have it here cos the cheesecake cost $10! i rather order another drink! she too was full and didnt want cake... wished i had bought her a slice from four leaves at anchor point in the afternoon.

we both sang her a bdae song when we were in the car!
