christmas dinner with champagne!

the turkey which my mum made with aunt Lan's recipe and spices taste fantastic very tender & succulent! aunt Olivia ordered hyatt's mezza 9 famous lamb its was so butterish tender simply heavens in my mouth! but i personally prefer smoked salmon than baked salmon in breads... i know it sounds weird... i dun like leafy salads but i make good salads... its true! the salad was my creation! an expernsive salad cos i use well expensive stuff! it has to be butterheadlettuce, purple leafy lettuce, japanese zucchini (?dunno how to spell), french cheese, cranberries, roasted almonds, yellow capsicum, and special sauce! the thing is i didnt eat any i was told its yummy.

my harvest! cowboy hat was for hosting games. i got gerald a guy's sling bag and brownish grey berms. I got 2 esprit skirts and a pants from him. My sis & bf got me a pants & gold shawl. Chocz and special zipper bags given to me by gerald's collegue Peng. Ann & mum gave me chocs. (MORE CHOCS!) and for gift exchange i got ikea lamp, i won 2 estee launder lipgloss (gave 1 each to sis & sis-in-law) & of cos the biggest gift i got AIR TIC AND ACCOMoDATION 4days3nites HONG KONG! my wish did come true...

early again

bcos mr tan forgot to take hs gift for happy hours in camp ... he drove bac and i got abring it down at 7.30am. since then i am awake and been clearinf emails and not done yet! more to go and checking out wedsites and only kok leong & CT say hi and went off only angeline chatiing with me now cos she oso very free now! WORKING AT sas... WAT CAN I SAY!

Finally the RAIN has STOP!

i am awake since 7am and couldn't get bac to sleep... so here i am ...AWAKE.
partially bcos i opened and closed the door for gerald he is sort of in a hurry. but he had time to comment the sky is clear and we could see the sea far away clearly. here's my view from where i am typing from...



and i got up to get a few more pics of the SUN! haven seen it in 3days. pretty cooling and with a little breeze its chilly.

i wanna go back to sleep after this cos i am still tired from yesterday's shopping spree. with my sis's suggestion of bringing Nesa out to get xmas present... i met nesa and waited at hdb hub for ping to get to tpy mrt stn. she was very late and nesa couldnt stop asking where ms ping is. distracted her by asking her to pick items for the little cousins under her. we walked round and got name printed stickers for Lety and of cos for herself. she picked 3 hp assessories all dooggies which will light up and say "i love you" for the 3 babies.

I was telling Gerald how my Aunt K used to bring my siblings out during the xmas seasons during our school daes to shop for presents and walked the whole street from far east to robinson for almost whole week. and when my legs break i would be very unhappy throwing tantrum! but my aunt is sweet and happy i could do the same for her child. got to town finally rain was jus pouring and everyone trying to get watever shelter there was. had Mos again cos sis wanted it. I ordered watever i didnt eat yesterday with Gerald. Nesa was sure she wanted to share fish burger, nuggets (i dun like)and fries. i almost use my vouchers to get a huge cookie monster. wanted that wo be with the elmo he bot a few yrs bac. put it bac cos sis kept saying it waste of money... which i know i could do better with the vouchers.

got all the stuff she needed and i offered to take nesa alone so that the little couple can go shop without restrictions happy for sis that she's attached! but i needed her bac at border's coffeebean cos the little gal wanted to go toilet when i jus got the drinks and how in the world was i to bring all shopping bags and drinks and lose the table and get her to the loo! thank gdness she was near!

RULE NO. 1 : when alone with a kido always bring her to the loo regardless if needed cos for sure when u are settled down at the table they sure scream for it!

i am jus lucky she is old enough to hold till sis came by. by the time they came we fhad finished the peppermint candycane choc tart. my banana choc drink failed me. got nesa a as huge as her face gingerbread man which i find cheap bcos of its size althou less color but cuter at $2. while waiting for sis we took pics of it. she was giggling NON-STOP!






got her around to get books and she chose her parents presents and we went marks and spenser and isetan supermarket with little regrets i splurge. WELL i got stuff for myself... a box, a light and a happy little gal .

Saturday
my lazy daes has started... joining Serena my dear fren as 2nd Idler (2nd most free)
my hols begin with late wake up at 10am on Sat and I laze till almost 4pm to prepare to go over to mum's place and then over to Eileen's potluck party. Finally got to see Serene almost the whole year didnt catch up with her! both the twins got skinner! me still fat! love the conversations with their mum... the satay was good alittle different from Serena's bbq but both taste good! the lemon merigue (dun really know how to spell) was nice! there were 2 "friends" mentioned that nite 1st *arry and then *arry...sounds so familiar but seems far now and to hear both names on the very night seems spooky! there was quite alot of liquer gog around but we went off to fetch parents and i slept at 11pm and the party went on till 3+am. i slept well cos i drank the nice coffee liqueur. but woke up early on Sunday and when he came hm from whampoa we went shopping!

Sunday
we drove in the heavy downpour and walked tunnels! we went isetan scotts and wheelock. we had nydc baked pasta and the tortilla wrap killed my thoart! its burning hot! its madness! tink angeline would love it! even gerald tinks its hot!the best thing was the peachy elehantcino (m sure i spelt it wrongly)... dun really like nydc...prefer Big O. on the way bac to isetan to shop we got free sample of mango gelatos YUMMY so mangoey! there was CK sale and he bought 1 tee with the isetan voucher and we bought gift exchange presents. the only thing i got for myself was this


when we were done shopping we rushed down to the japanese food fair but when we reach there at 8pm... everything was dismantled! we wanted to get the salmon roes that was in cubes for mum to try...it was nice to bite on! can't describe the "feel" guess gota wait till next jap fair. gerald spent all his 100 isetan voucher!

Monday
i was fed up... we were late for breakfast. he made it up by suggesting bkfast at bishan and i chose coffeebean. in the end his choice which was decided by me taste better. he had egg ben and i had salmon scambble egg toast. he complained the coffee sucks but my tea was still pretty ok. his was cheesy covering sunny egg on turkey ham on toast... his was yummy...bcos his was so salted mine was bland... we were stuck at cpf board long slow q... then we went walking at bj8, bot uno stako and we went hm to bring meowlee to vet. she is really sick... it was emotional when the vet ws checking her feeling for the lumps in her body she felt pain and hid her head on gerald tummy... i felt really sad. she is really suffering. i kept tinking of spotty.... i still feel the decision to put him to sleep was cruel and i remember crying madly when he was put to sleep with jus an injection he was gone i couldnt feel him alive i hate that feeling but now i see her gog thru the pain i feel sad. i feel its cruel to keep her alive but the other choice is cruel too... errrr...hate it. endless day. we went on to go buy lenses and fix my specs... rained HEAVILY! its endless since then. went to ask travel agency for hk tickets... they say fulled.
checked the net... jetstar available... i really dun know if we should go...
i very much wanna go but somehow my heart feels heavy... can't explain.

my 1st xmas at SAS

took pic with Santa and with Tabby who came bac fr Cambodia! the tree behund us is alive! haha its real but i tink ALIVE sounds better! (took pics with other collegues but dunno if they mind so hee hopefully tabby wot mind!) loads of gifts i got a pretty lunch set and a water tumbeler which i need for school! Soap set, homemade giner cookiesand of cos Loads of chocolate for my "FrieAnTs"... the godiva will be kept safely for sharing with both my families on xmas dae... starbucks voucher fr my bosses, and the joint gift from the parents from my class was awesome...i will get to shop, catch a show and read alot $75 borders voucher. my tcher gave me a book she say it funny and i will start read it next week do nothing but read the whole dae missed that alot! and with her $40 borders voucher i can't wait to go down get mags and stationery and books! SHOPPING!!! but I will start with hibernation i need sleep!

For "safety" reasons i deleted the previous blog. here's a pic ... the dress i wore for the party.

Got flu from Saturday nite reached home after BBQ at around 4am and Sunday althou i slept till 2pm I was in terrible ordeal of headache sneezy and fluey! MONDAY...felt like hell in school ... didnt wanna go to scholl yesterady but got things haven prepare for children xmas craft and I went. At school everyone avoided me. by this friday everyone will be free cos its end of school term. OF COS nobody wanna get sick! but i braced myself stayed in school till 3pm and F*** it rained! always like that need to leave early then sure HEAVY downpour! waited for the shuttle and then rushed home to nap cos got wedding at Swisshotel Merchant court. this is the 3rd wedding i attedend in these 2 months! one more on 30th dec! (shanice, how not to grow! and i got BBQ this sat and so far 2 xmas parties) anyway got new tops and bottoms for this wedding cos lucky can find something and was reasonable for the pants and top!

dinner started late and the waiters rushed the food out. the people i sat with they were funny and we kept laughing the whole nite. they are gerald's long-ago batchmates. the car the couple used was pretty! an antique car! a beauty! when i came home i was gone in no time sniffy and snuffy and here i am MC and i need to go to bed med taking effect eyes now droppy and waterish liao... and heres a pic of my pearly bag, love my handbag!

DECEMBER 1st

its last month of the year.FAST.

this month is packed with parties. Started with SAS party at Tanglin Club.

To attend school function i always prefer Gerald to be around. I dun feel so LOST cos i really dun noe that many people and people i have lunch with they dun attend.but yesterday was a little better than the last party cos at least i talked to Mrs H. she was my art teacher at one academy 8 years ago. finally got to catch up with her at the party.

To cover my "frens" seriously i felt safe with the same black halter top except now got a little lobang cos did wear the red tube dress i pair it with a dark black-blueish skirt with little red diamontes. i must look for more tops like that in other colors for other functions... or jus keep changing the bottoms

next on the list is party tonight and Sunday at Shangrila hopefully i dun grow too much for the gown... is actually my favourite dress even before the latest alteration.

Can't wait to wear it!

EMERGENCY for LAZY ME!!!

aiyo been so lazy taking care of my face, nails and of cos my SiZE & SHAPE.

i do regret not being hardworking... Bcos i didnt want to THROW Gerald's face this Sunday at his paternal side wedding dinner i splurge on a facial yesterday its scary when they showed me the peeled off mask ... loads of white heads... really i gota be good and need to start taking care more cannot be so bochap!

got a very good offer and least its seems to me... went with Serena to get nails done! Its a spa manicure + spa pedicure @ $80 for 2 pax. YES! its $40 per pax. they have an addition mask on both hands and feets. its a december promo till mth end. I had mine in a lilac silverish color and Serena choosen a nice plum kinda red. VERY different in shades!!! love the colour Serena had but i wont be able to take it if its on me ... too red dunno y i am so afraid of itif its on myself...

Collected my dress for this sunday wedding! excited but scared too "grand" so scared overdressed ... its actually simple ... contradict! that really depend what others are wearing mayb i turn out underdressed! Tummy very big ... no way i will slim down in 2 days cos tomolo theres a big feast awaiting at 8pm at Tanglin club ... SAS xmas dinner!!! tink as for FATs i am hopeless liao....

SLEEP how i spend my thanksgiving friday.

planned to go out to ted and invited Serena but it started raining...CANCELLED
In the morning, tian my cousin, Carol, Serena and Dorthy chatted with me.
Its been a long time since i chatted with Carol and Dorthy. I was even recommended for a marketing assistant position at Crocodile by Dorthy. She tot i was suitable... it seems a good chance since i am in education line for almost 2 years to get bac into sort of corporate... LOST dunno how .... sort of enjoy the easy life lox of hols coming my way but of cos less exciting... HOW!!! she is in HR and will be nice to have someone i know there...

after chatting Gerald bot me lunch and i only ate half of it. was in pain... my left Tummy hurts and i slept. He left for work and i watched tv and lie in pain. so i made 3mins dinenr and slept all the way till this morning...

I do feel better now hopefully the pain goes away... but my xianzness seems stuck with me so lazy to get outa house... got tuition and suppose to go ted .... only look forward to see mum tonite and lunch on sunday at Lucia's place to meet up with old frens from Eton. so Lazy now... everyone is still asleep...

thanksgiving!!!

School close for 2daes to celebrate Thanksgiving. Wanted to go VIVo yesterdae but changed mind cos sure almost half SAS people will be there.

So we jus laze at hm ... after I packed room we watch Madadasca? dunno how to spell... anyway the shows okie i guess its message is when u are thrown into a new but worse environment one may turn but it takes friends or family to lead one bac on track never give up anyone... there is goodness in everyone... i really wish goodness stays and people got more determination to stay on track

Dinner was at HK Cafe at East Coast Rd. watched HDB taitai and saw this recommendation and i wanted to try the tea! When we found the place the carpark was a headache!!! we circled at least 3 rounds before we parked almost a street away. When we sat down there was a sticker on the tissue dispenser that indicate that customers can park at the lots behind Caltex!

We ordered timsum and a 7-spiced chicken chop noodle... sad the moment the noodles land on the table it turn cold in 3mins cos where we sat the aircon vent blew like winter loh... anyway dimsum ok noodle ok ....
Tea which in chinese they named it stockings (si wa) milk tea was good very thick gerald say very milky... I like the yin yang better its a mix of coffee and tea HK kinda drink...and of cos dessert! I get to try Macau Steamed egg with ginger ... very soft and smooth Gerald ordered a FAT banana toast with ice-cream. in the middle of this FAT toast u find banana ... and how can we go hm without any Bo lo Bao!!! we took away 2 plain and 3 chaxiu ... haven try yet ... hopefully its good...


I wanna go HK ... Macau.... Taiwan... Korea... Japan....anywhere.

wedding dinner

its his cousin's wedding and this group of cousins I have met up with most of them for about 3 dinners. they are easy going and funny! glad that we were out together and we jus chat through and of cos organise sabo a simple drink up but so many uncles and aunts came to his rescue so no fun! finding a dress for dinner is getting to be upsetting chore ... as i declared to Gerald that FATS are my new found friends they are truly giving me a headache and oso heartache that all the dresses i have is no longer fitting!!!

so i had a red tube top i like the red funny thing is since i bought it long time ago i had never wore it even when i lost weight for wedding... i top it with a halter top that splits wide open behind. looks alittle odd but i jus wanted to wear it! I paired it with my favourite black crsytal heels the best part is that i kept hair to minimum cos its so short that i jus have to make sure it stay in place... overall tiring tiday at work loads of red but insufficient sleep!!! after this is laundry folding which i didnt do cos sunday was packed! SAD! i wana sleep....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZ

this week at work sucks cos there was a misunderstanding... its happens all the time but this time to me is bad. JUST bad. Lucky for me Tuition was cancelled, Had free entry to MOS alittle too late to join them as i have turn them down and dun feel good whole week

Lucky i had an outing with Serena Shanice and Yvonne. needed to be out with others wanted a outdoor niteout so i suggested eating at Esplanade Makan Sutra. The ice-cream at Hagen-daz was comforting jus too bad its never perfect cos i didnt get any brandy cherries. The gals were talking about their upcoming trip to bangkok... ENVY. when can i travel again? We took a long walk to get to taxi stand. didnt expect Gerald to come down to fetch me home ...sweet. I am so afraid to be alone. I have been feeling blue ... nothing much really upsetting me but just BLUE. upcoming things to look forward will be the long weekend cos SAS celebrates Thanksgiving so 23rd and 24th is off days! plan to go Sentosa on Thursday but he doesnt seem interested ... wonder if VIVO is worth it cos i wan less people around. I WANT SPACE! I NEED AIR! yah i tink thats wat i need ...

Laundry Day

today is Laundry day ... every sunday i wish is sundae
no joke cos i drag doing housework but somehow i feel its best day to laze around taking time to sort out the work.

I took a super long time to do wat is needed cos i started reloading the dvds
watched till the 4th disc by 10+ today... i really missed out alot infront and it was good to be alone at home slowly folding tops and watching it

i know y i like the show... cos marrying itself is a new beginning and having extended family is oso a new beginning... besides its jus a nice show
now i feel like sleeping... bus duty tomolo...

Fairy Tales

I guess I do like fairy tales...

Yesterday I tried to finish the disc 6-11. I did well almost finish...
On my Last disc and I stopped at 2am ... I guess i wanted to keep something to look forward today ...very tired today ... went to watch a play TOAD & FROG - based on children storybook. almost fell asleep .. the play was not bad but i was very exhausted cos while watching the dvd i cried on off ... i am a crybaby!
got the soundtrack todae... like the instrumental pieces ... loading into my ipod as i type so glad i got ipod help me stay alive during my long boring train rides... always feel very lonely on trains ... hate that feeling

I m gog to start watching the dvd from the start cos I missed all of it bcos i was busy tutoring for exams then and i wanna watch them speak Korean... more real i guess ... i missed the show... seem to be hook somehow... Gerald said it seem not a realistic show wats interesting? I just love fairy tales i guess...

love the songs and they played a part to make me cry... feel like learning a new instrument tot of taking violin... I had tot of HARP before but never a violin cos i am afraid of the strings on my finger and the squeeky sound first learners have...
today i jus had that tot in me ... i wan to play the violin...

HEADACHE AND NOW RETYPE!

Met Dap this morning for 2 important things! Had tim sum and porridge for breakfast together. She got me a good deal for my very FIRST IPOD NANO! its white but i am okie with that! So slim seems fragile to me... really gota be careful cos i am so clumsy with things! hope its user-friendly though...charging it right now hope it finish charging soon!

Once i got it I started to unwrap to see wats in the BLACK box! So thin! thats my first reaction! i really got to be really delicate with this baby!

2nd things i got was her Princess hour DVD. was never a fan of Korean drama until recently the shows seems better without the usual sad faces and crying scenes!!! Tabby said her fren finished the whole show in 3 days... i am not challeging that cos i jus wanna catch up what i missed cos been off to tuition and missed many episodes. besides HEADACHE is stuck with me...

Bought myself a tiny baking magazines Smaller than A5 Martha Strewart's 51 favourite recipes a collectible cookie edition... $7.90 i hope to get to bake something on my thanksgiving holiday! can't wait for the long weekend! 23rd & 24th Nov no school!

SOoooooO many Pumpkins!

My very first Pumpkin Patch Day! this happens a few days before Halloween Bash @ SAS
the room was filled with children's art work and of cos PUMPKINS! HUGE ones to the very tiny ones and the dried up corns were of beautiful colours! Its my 1st time seeing funny and Ugly pumpkins! the green watermelon-look-alike pumpkin and those with lumps all over give me goosebumps!!! i find them very elaborate for 2 days event cos they even use notice boards and black paper to create a spooky secret tunnel to the story-teller room. all around the room are pumpkins! after each child brings hm 2 each and a corn there were tons of them in the room!


On 31st October, parents flow in to help decorate the class and of cos dress their children. to my relief i wasn't needed in the room as the party is taken care by the PARENTS themselves. the food, the games and cleaning up too! the food the parents made were interesting! they all had the Halloween theme! Didn't get to try the GHOST cookie but tot its so cute! i like the halloween m&m! took some photos or the kids during the Halloween Parade! the kids in the bedsheet kept scaring others tot he did a good job not a boring ghost! next year i might want to join in the halloween street party near SAS heard its like a mascarade party down the street and each house have tonnes of candies cos there is a huge crowd of children! and next year i wana dress RED!
