DIE LAH! no money oredi! HOW!!!

Big Bang yesterday! i went for the massage dap got me for my bdae! the lady was pretty old about 50+ bah then like very unhappy take it out on me! threw towel over my head ... so pissed. i was like u old thats why i ren but when she threw the towel to answer the door i was about to shout at her then she changed attitude! i dun owe you a dam thing and you work! i was so mad lucky when she started massaging she was better cos at the start when she scrub me was like so bochap and HARD! of cos the sales try to talk to me then i say my husband sign a package elsewhere then she say buy 6 lah then reduce buy 3 lah then i repeat then she say ok then then stand up and walk away i wanted to comb my hair oso cannot see me out then never even say hope to see me woh! ignore me! lucky the massage was good i was like whatever lah. never sign she suffer oso not me! but still i am glad i had the massage cos i needed it badly! body dam sore. thanks dap! it was good! at least now not as stiff before starting work!

then walked to cityhall to get lunch was so dam hungry at 2pm! ate a personnal pizza at cityhall market hall area. gota wait about 20mins and mine was a little burnt! prob the bbq sauce taste mayb... then walked citylink suppose to meet dap then went mphosis got a top. a cheonging top? got chain wan but not gog to wear for cheonging cos dun do that anymore but more for a little niteout top. then went marina to meet dap and while waiting i pop into dorothy parkins and tried on a colourful yellow 3qurts and got that for work and it cost 23 after 70% less. after passing dap the stuff i head off to ps to go get more hangers from daiso. got 24 more! then popped by DP and got a blue 3qurts @ $25 for work! and then 4 plain tops for work with dap's vouchers got 20% off. yah loads of stuff but i needed it for work... i know its crazy....

then i head to the basement and got taiwan snacks. i asked the guy not to cut the chicken chop and i compared to the taiwan one ... it flat not as thick! and most of all it half the size of the one in taiwan! then the meesua... yes shanice i like ah zhong better... so much more! sad no more mian xian for me liao... today... meet serena for lunch. went to walk topshop since she haven arrive. got a pair of hearts earring @ $4 and a very colourful beaded necklace. @ $9.. 70% off. met her and headed for lunch! but b4 that we went to check out a necklace i have been eyeing since tuesday... i saw it on the ad on monday papers? then went to check on the web... we made a guess how much it was over msn yesterday nite and serena won! she guessed the exact. you guys can make a guess how much it cost.

we walked around but couldnt find it so we asked. it was on display at one of the window display boxes... it is sooooo pretty. i wore it and yah of cos fall in love with it but its too ex! dun think i will ever get it. oso i told serena the most wear till 35yrs old and after that too old to be wearing this bah... at least for me. but its really sweet and shiny! at least i got to try it! too bad cannot take pic. yes the tot lingers on... but its impossible for now.

so dam hungry and went straight to crystal jade xlb and lamien restaurant. wanted to get a four seater cos tot better cos sure order at least 3 dishes but serena was fine with the 2 seater. then came 3 pax next to us. and another 3 pax at the other end... and i think we 2 ordered much more than anyone else even if equal in number of dishes... there is only 2 of us! our table was filled!!! we had fried eel, steamed egg whites with scallops, fried garlic chicken and of cos XLB! we had 4 longs of it! here in each long there is only 4 pcs! haha not like DTF 6 or 10. the food pic with serena...

then we went to check out sanrio stuff and serena got me something... my little melody nametag holder! so sweet! love it! THANKS again! we walked in the bedsheet dept lah, kitchen utensil dept..... and she helped me find a glove i was interested in knowing the price. the glove is made of silicone and it can protect our hands from High temperature and heat. price tag : $39. didnt get it... too ex... esp for now after buying new clothes for work... then we went to accessories dept. i was shocked to find out a RODIUM plated dior necklace cost almost $500+. small really small heart n not silver leh its rodium plated only. went over to paragon and my dear fren brot me to some shops... showed me some pretty clutches and shock me with the prices but its pretty and eyeopener esp the crystal studded clutch!!! it almost blind me! haha really true it was so harmful to the eye! rite serena!???
we parted as my tuition changed bac to today... no choice cos the parents requested... then serena went off to far east herself. am so happy today cos serena got me my 1st COACH. a black mini skinnie! love it! thanks for eveything today! love you gal! sad gog bac to work liao gota meet u in future at 4pm liao... till next block of hols in oct!

happy news

mum insisted gog to work today and i hope she feels really better. she slept alot yesterday when i was there looking after her. after each meal she would complain pain. i stayed by her when she slept. lucky gx was willing to send me the lap so i can continue with editing and not bad i managed to clear 3qurts of 4th day! but later i will be gog out to get some stuff for room. gettting a cd rack from muji. room is in a terrible mess no space for things and i ignore all of it jus left it everywhere and there is no space to walk on my side. gx asked me to clear it i am so reluctant cos i dun know where to put them. lex see. so sorry serena i had to cancel our appointment yesterday. i know u will understand.

then in the afternoon i heard a good news. my pri school best friend Ser is getting married! Her bf proposed to her last weekend! Sweet! she is gog to get married in Switzerland! told her i am gog too haha but she haven even say if i am invited! but she will have a reception here too. But really from my bottom of my heart would love to see her get married in swiss cos i can imagine its gog to be so beautiful! she will look so gorgegous! something to look forward in 2008 May whether gog onot to swiss, look forward to her local reception too. My best friends wedding.

ser told me about another fren preg and asked me when my turn... i haven been bac to dr chew for the jabs. suppose to start 1st jab in june and 2nd in july... i just hope miracle will happen that i dun need to get the jabs. hope the tube will unblock by itself... the jabs are jus to keep the growth of fibroids down but he didnt say the tube will unblock itself soon! he say it takes time. what should i do?

mum

mum went hospital in the wee morning on sunday. food poisoning. she ate cockles.
thats the only thing she ate that the rest of us didnt had. her collegue treat her and she gana so badly, throwing and tummyaches.

my dad's side cousin who now stay in states came bac and wanted to pay us a visit and the time was set on sat and we went ahead with it. my cousin who now took care of her 3 children became so skinny! knowing that my mum was not well they left earlier... mum looked pale. she rested and i cook porridge for her. she was really weak. while she slept i watched national treasure, loved this movie.

i just hope mum get well soon. rite after lunch she is not well now she is sleeping. i hope she gets better and no more hospitals! waiting for gx to send me the lap to continue editing photos.

i am so hooked. gary's Beipan. everywhere in taiwan, almost every shop we went surely we will get to hear this song. there was this shop that even repeat the song over and over. well i am loving this song. kinda miss it thats why got it from sil.

today was as usual. since back from taiwan my daily life is wake up, juice then start editing photos then watch martha stewart (still editing while watching) then late lunch, tv then bac to editing and listening to my 2 newer cds. on monday got myself a rod stewart album and ennio morricone cd. i was looking for the latter for some time but found RS 1st. after that shower then off to do other stuff or go tuition then dinner then being home everyday and i will be editing and chatting with frens. my few frens. then tahan till 11pm+ i go to bed... i am now editing 3rd day... i am half way through... i target editing to be done today... dun think so...way too many photos. why an album... its like a story book... something that i collect. memories... my travel scrapebook whatever you call it but i jus like doing it... well hopefully everything can be done before next fri cos following monday will be bac to school...

but today i broke the stay at home spell... date my mum for dinner brought her to eat crab in tpy lorong 8. aunt s was with us too. i ordered creamy butter crab, seafood tofu and 3 lao. i love 3 lao horfun! then saw durians and we bot some to aunt k house and sad only the 1st durian can make it! the other 2 was terrible. lucky the other 4 durians my mum treat my in-laws was not as bad only one was over ripe. gx after the whole day out for some army events is now prob on his 2nd drink with his fren H. i didnt go cos last minute tummyache!

i bot a back posteral belt in taiwan. been wearing it since bac. it cost like $40+ jus before i left we had a discussion at suntec about our trip, then we passed by guardian and there were many people trying somethign similiar but their more colourful and they cost $178 i think! over 100 thats what i am very sure. they were then pushing saying the price before 7% cos that was the last day gst was at 5%. lucky i didnt buy then. does it help? yah i really thinks its helps me at least wearing it while at the com it helps me have a straight back a better posture than me slouching! the band pulls my shoulders down. but at times i still slouch but more cautious with the belt on. but body still aching from the trip! looking forward for the massage next tuesday!
back to editing! and waiting for gx to come home... the pub close at 2am...

i had to admit that i was disappointed that we didnt manage to have any photos taken of us with our tian teng. i couldn't sleep. yah silly but i was upset but more upset with Gx for not being sensitive to my feelings!

was super excited when i got home, head straight to room to check out the cds. althou not well think ate too much from dinner (but dinner was good! tong shui cafe @ thomson), keep wanting to puke, hate that super sour taste in thoart, think i stare too much at the screen too (since morning 10 till about 6pm).

to Mr & Mrs Soh, i really appreciate the pic you created! really! i appreciate your thoughtfulness. but me upset is unavoidable cos i am a softy. gx say i am silly to get upset over such things cos is true its forever in my memories! which is more important. i only can blame myself cos of the low batts! Mayb its a good time to get a new camera! haha... jus kidding... too broke!

anyway tried to sleep but really couldnt cos thinking there must be a way to solve my little problem. then i found a way! but needed advice! so i got off bed prob 1+ almost 2 bah and on com and the person i needed most was online! Was so glad to see yvonne cos she can answer my enquiry! and yes with her help i tried and was able to solve my problem! THANKS A MILLION YVONNE! LOVE YOU GAL! of cos she laughed at me for not being able to sleep lah but i tried many times till i didnt realise that i got into bed finally only at 3+ almost 4am!

now i jus hope and pray that the images i created will be ok when printed... praying hard. Fingers are all crossed! well its small cos if not will be very pixelated... but hopefully keeping it small will be fine and its better than not having any at all...

crushed!

aiyo!!! i was right at first that starting work on July 30th... then cos found a school calendar while packing it stated 6th August then i tot i had 3 weeks before starting work. then this morning confirmed with Martina... crushed.... haha back to square one its 30th that i need to start work! but this 2 mths has been good. i needed the rest after the op and had good food thru June with all the bbq, letycia's shang rila bdae, grandpa's bdae banquet, penang and taiwan. Well, shanice i have yet to weigh myself... yes i am afraid. gone are the 3kg i managed to lose after the op when everyday i was eating only porridge... to my fellow collegues in SAS, here i declare i am not pregnant cos the clothes that i am gog wear are prob bigger in size, definitely flare and not tight-fitting. i am jus hiding the fats i piled over the 2 mths! so not ready to be bac yet... must prep myself! bac to days of waking at 6am! jus glad i did rest well bah...

tonight gog to meet our tourmates of 7 days! gog to exchange photos taken in taiwan! can't wait to see them tonite and will prob post more lantern photos! now i have to get bac to editing the 1000 over photos taken by me... cos with helen 700 photos... i wonder when i will get it done and sent out for developing... my deadline for myself is album to be done by SUNDAY... wish me luck!

taiwan BIG harvest!

here are the pictures of the super harvest we had in Taiwan. i dun think we had alot thou cos our tourmates defintely beat us in all ways! would love to be back there for more shoe shopping, chicken pipi, chicken chops, load of ice desserts and more!!! if our wishes on our lantern come true then surely there will a next trip there! fingers-crossed! the food stuff we bot filled our dining table! my in-laws were haha prepared to be shocked bah... knowing i will buy as much as i can to let every try whatever i can get from taiwan! lucky me gx bot me my long awaited agnes b bag! love it! i oso like my $5 checked pink bag!got lots of cute cute pencil, wooden animal magnets, cute little torches for the kids, the hello kitty and little melody are clocks for teaching kidos to read time. i got 2 pens one snoopy one which have 10 colours in it, and the kitty one had 6 i think. its for myself still a big kido who loves stationery!well i cover my music area too! the lime green cd had a guzheng song used in kungfu movie. haha thats why i buy! i like it! when i went to enquire the blue cd and white cd the lady told me got promo buy blue cd and get the white one free. and i bot an old dvd of richard claydeman cos when i was young he was my inspiration why i loved piano and he got me started. and of cos my favourite buy in taiwan my wind instrument! bot an orange dress or actually i consider it a along top and rest were all tops and sweaters. Gx jus bot tops, cos they berms cutting are too straight cut.
here are the "cake" harvest! the first thing to clear the very nite we arrive was our 8 mister donuts! they were very different, chewy in texture. LOVE it... and i oso love the chineses pastries in taiwan they are soft skinned and lovely!

th sesame biscuits are nice very aromatic and crunchy! the sun biscuits from jiufen was nice but my mum complained that it was too sweet. my famly according to gx eat quite bland. haha.
this was recommended i have yet to try it yet but my mum say nice. we managed to spot it right before getting outa shilin. jus to let u know how big each piece was we did a comparison foto! haha big right so we only bot 1 box cos of space problem... 3 each for each family,


this are the pastry we bot in danshui bakery. the white stuff is the mochi. bot yam and black sesame flavour. the only big pineapple tart we bot had salted egg yolk! loved it! the pastry nice and pineapple not too sweet!

this yam pastry is really nice. recommended by agnes and mic. this is bot in jiufen. at first when we tried it we say not really nice and when we came down hill to get for agnes we tried again and found it nice! then i tried to figure out why. the reason was we were drinking almond milk right before we tried it the 1st time so the pastry tasted bland. and we try only little pieces so the almond killed the taste. it smelt so good but i was surprise that it didnt taste good. so next time you wana try cakes or whatever food make sure you didnt drink or eat strong in taste stuff!
other then pastry we bot jiufen peanuts which tasted so good cold! they have dark coverings! oso in jiufen we bot a bottle of grape extract! good for health! taste like vitagen grape! danshui hei tang mochi cubes and tie dan. Duck tongue for my bro this is bot at XMT the street opposite watson. this is the most expensive cost S$20+++. the cuttlefish was very nice even when its refrigerated!



gx was doubting if my lantern project will be churned out smoothly. i was quite sure that it will turn out fine jus worried if MIL will like the surprise onot. that nite i slept early cos headache cos starred at the com too long! only next morning i woke up early sat in living roomn watching the mobile turn then when MIL woke up she told me it was pretty and she was surprised. cos in the day before she did asked me why so many lanterns are they for giving away. i didnt answer her cos i didnt wana lie and didnt wan her to know that was gog to be surprise.

the finished product! now i love sitting in the living room looking at it spin around! reminds me of the big lanterns we let into the sky! had loads of fun then! would love to do it again! pictures of us with our lighted lantern will be posted once i get the photos from Mrs S cos i took video while she took photos and haha my sis cam as usual no batt... yah lucky got Mrs S cam there was no way to travel bac to XMT to charge! gog to send camera for check and oso the charger... think both something wrong... charge full then cam in less then 30mins screamed low batt! errr... even bot new 2gb ssd card and the new battery oso prob! hopefully the check will solve my prob!
the huge and the tiny bottles! these popcorns were heavy adding quite abit to our load too! this was recommended by May. it is good! and i have to apologise to her that i manage to get 2 each for her only! SORRY MAY! cos the other 2 each i bot for my family! my friends oso bot some cos we saw the staff doing oit for some youngsters who were gog to catch a movie. it smelt so good!
gave the kidos the cartoon torch yesterday, they loved it! they managed to press the buttons and the twins were gog around to explore where to shine to able to see the picture better! they loved the popcorn too. they watch as the popcorn popped in the mircrowave and they smell got them very excited. they loved the big strawberry bottle! the bottle almost didnt make it my bro helped me pump air into the float but somehow he burst it instead! gx then try to pump into a 2nd layer, it had 2 airway dun know why but lucky gx saved it and it was a huge bottle as tall as the twins! i brought home like 5 recipe books haha dun know when i will make them but when i do try you guys will get to read about it! haha... lex see if successful then! i bot the tia maria to make tiramisu... and we now have all the flavours of baileys.

day 1 in taiwan!!!

the sq flight was good as it was spacious. the only thing was there was a delay to go onboard and the brunch menu was not really good. watched 2 movies. blades of glory and korean 200 pounds beauty. both not bad. then we took a freego bus to our motel... the motel was a disaster. smelly old and no way at all i feel safe to leave our luggage there!!! after we left our luggage we went to rainbow hotel but it was fully booked and we walked on further to east dragon i think and we managed to secure rooms for the next few days.
with the hotel settled we headed to ah zhong mien xian for our 1st taiwan meal! filled with people even thou it was raining. as i was told everyone stand around to eat it and it was piping hot! the big intestine was good! chewy one and with Shanice's advice after tasting it original i directed gx to the corner to put some more seasonings. and i remember not too much chili! you said it would burn and a little had power too so can't imagine a whole spoonful!

it was here when helen ordered guotia that i saw pretty transparent umbrella selling for NT100 which cost $5 for a long standing umbrella. i chose a yellow pokka dotted one. so cute. helen got a lime green hearts, pretty!
then we headed to the train station to get to shilin market. we decided not to buy the storage card so we opt for pay for each trip when we travel and were surprise to see tokens dropping out. use as like our ezlink jus tap these tokens to get it but when we wanted to get out we drop it into a slot. the taiwanese are so orderly. they like HK people will stand on the right and leave the left of the escalotor for people to walk up. then while waiting for train they really will line up in a line behing the slated line... it actually was good experience. they will oso really wait till all the passengers come out then they will enter. but of cos there aer still people who will hurry in last minute and push. i gana elbowed and got so mad at his auntie cos my back hurt!

to get to shilin market we got off at Jiantan and not at shilin stop. it was still raining when we arrived

Lucky i decided to take pic with us under the newly bot yellow pokka dotted umbrella... we lost it later when we walked thru the HUGE area. and lucky the next 6 days no rain! the very 1st thing we tried was to q for the famous CHICKEN CHOP! it not only huge but it very hot too! it was really hot couldnt bite into it straight away. the seasoning is definitely nicer 100times than the one in singapore cos singpaore shilin one like jus pepper this had a mixture of powder to season it and the chicken piece not only huge but inside its well seasoned! Yums!

we took this pic while the boys were q'ing. we tried something hong one dun remember full name verdict: not very nice not to my taste. gx was excited when he ordered his 1st stick of chicken bumbum! but he was disappointed cos not bbq to super hot. this was the 1st time Mr & Mrs S and i tried it. haha Mrs S dun like it cos its bumbum. but onwards Mr S and I will ask Gx to get us one each when he ordered. its jus like round almost like a ball, jus nice to bite and tasty.

this is taiwan fried oyster. i dun like it cos the sauce is sweet and have cabbage one. basically i like our singapore one better. i find sweet oyster taste really ... weird? this is where i had my 1st piece of smelly beancurd also known as fermented beancurd... its stinkier than Hk one and i dun fancy it. i did try it, jus haven got to know how to appreciate it yet. but this was Mr & Mrs S favourite cos they will defintely order it! to each is its own.

we walked on to a area where the pushcarts are. Mr s ordered prob his other favourite octupus! it was a huge one! not bad the seasoning was nice. then i wandered off further and found this freshly made fried potato chip! it is peeled in a curly form and we have to start eating it from the bottom. i ordered cheese so they sprinked cheese powder on it taste like cheddar.

then we went into the building to get some aircon and oso to look around and there was an area where it was all pet shop and they had many pups and they are all minitures. we suspect they are all breed specially to keep them small we even suspect they are sort of "muted" u can hardly hear any dogs bark at all! this dog looked like a fake toy dog! it slept with its tongue sticking out! and doesnt this kitten look fake too! its eyes was very yellow! and fur was soooo white and fluffy.
then we moved on to play shooting game! the boys did the long riffle and i chose to play the short gun. it was almost real! heavt pistol and have sort of rebound kinda stuff when shooting.
this is my score! i had so much fun... got super duper excited when i managed to hit a target! this is where i got a free plastic fan. that came into use thruout the trip as i used it to fan gx and myself!in bewteen where there are no other pics taken except when we stop for food is becos the street was filled with people and there were many shops that we stopped at to take alook or started our spree of bargaining and choosing! at shilin first nite i got the kidos in my family some kind of miniture torch but when they press a button there are cartoon pics in full colour! it was so cute. i got my 1st bag here too. think that was about all what i got here... mainly food here. Gx got this konyaku kinda dessert but there is filling in each like black sesame, red bean, yellow bean and yam. okie lah he say its bcos its not cold enough.
we stopped and sat down for a bowl of pigs' blood soup... again not my favourite and 2nd round of FBC. this was like we could smell it a street away! thats how strong the stench was! guess is either u love it or u hate it.
another favourite i found that nite was 3 brothers ice! snow ice with fresh and really sweet mango was GOOD! loved it! it kept us cooled from head to toe!
but not long after we decided to try this crab starcy soup a few shops away! our 1st bowl cos later we had one in KL and one last one in this same shop again on the nite before we depart...
when gx saw this almond dessert he had to had it cos it had a story to go with this dessert. it happen during his army dayz. his 1st taiwan food! this was okie liked the one i had in raohe better cos that had almond milk this was jus ice and the pudding.

with that we walked to the main street and at some point dun remember when gx managed to get himself a nice pair of leather shoe. i chose it for him and he liked it alot! dun remember what else we bot... thats was our 1st day and i had cramps since then. the hotel stinked and couldnt sleep well was jus waiting for dawn and we had decided to moved out!
