day 6 & 7

day 6 : this is the day where we try to fit things or places we wanted to go. the first thing after breakfast, was to go try the duck. this was in XMT area near our hotel. small in taiwan is like our medium. the duck was nice, beehoon nicer than noodles. then we headed to jiantan station to take a free shuttle bus to a shopping centre and we saw the simpson family! we then went on to shop around and for the first time we tried playing the basketball game it was NT10 for 3 rounds thats cheap! it was fun but tiring! then we headed off to Carrefour, we were in search for a kind of flour. cos the name was in chinese we needed to know what kind of flour isit cos i bot a machi recipe book. but cannot find. we then headed to eat at an interesting restaurant. its called five-cent drift wood house. this was recommended and it was really nice. yah in fact i had dejavu of this place. as we walked up the slope to the entrance of the restaurant, dejavu. the exteral reminded me of spain, barcelona's chruch. the place had a calm effect. very nice embience. the food was ok my mango coconut drink was nice, food served in pottery quite interesting. met the lady boss and we got her to sign the book we bot about her restaurant. wanna be like her, so daring to live her dreams.

after the lunch, we headed back to taipei station to shop at the underground mall. here things were cheap except gx bag gana bluff. i bot 3 pairs of shoes each cost NT200 which is just S$10. like the shoes could have bot more but lugguage problem that was a little pity but really no space so no choice. i bot a "burberry" like checked bag well there is no such colour for burberry but its not so and i dun care if people say fake cos its jus checked nothing else, so i jus buy cos only s$5 LOVE IT!
haha pissed and sulking can't remember why... the underground was long didnt expect it to be that long! it reminds me of people's park feel but things are cheap here. he managed to get a bag and a top. then we headed bac to jiantan station for 2nd round at Shilin. we tried the roasted? or fried duck & chicken, the seasoning was nice. we started alitttle early so many stalls not yet open. so we went to see sports stuff.
while they shopped at the sports shop, i went supermarket and found this BIG cuttlefish. it was a whole big piece! bot one each for our family and one for Mr& mrs S. I wast feeling so tired, exhausted haha yah lah weak. the weather was so hot the whole day made me felt exhausted and i almost fell asleep waiting while everyone else was busy at the sports shop. then gx decided that we make a move first then they catch up with us. We headed down the street and hit the food street. We ordered the pineapple prawns. they are freshly fried prawns then with pineapple drizzled with mayo. it was nice. the pineapple sweet.
we then tried the big sausage wrap small sausage. the big sausage is actually glutiounous rice in a hotdog bun shape slit open with a taiwan sausage in between. very hot and its nice.
We met up and headed to eat the crab starcy soup. this was our 3rd round. there were considered huge chunks of crab meat in it. and this time i wanted to try the you fan, another glutinous rice. a little plain and a little too oily. then we head back down the street for ice.

this is one of my favourite. 3 brothers icehouse. the snow milk mango was favourite but decided to order a strawberry to try. the strawberry may not be in season so its little sour but they taste so fresh and really they are not that sour in comparison to those we often eat in singapore. Gx ordered his 2nd last stick of 7 li siang from a pushcart near the iceshop.

then we headed to buy the famous chicken chop, i q so in the end i decided to buy 2 instead of one. the other for supper. as usual gx saw the bbq stall sure go check it out and he ordered his last stick of chicken bums here. then we split our ways as the both of us were really tired and our friends went on with their shopping spree.

we stoppped by the food market to get a drink but instead we spotted the peanut ice stall so we sat down to have one more cup. the one in KL nicer. then next to it was the Big biscuit wrap small biscuit so we dabao one back to hotel to try. its actually some sort of crepe skin then they crush a very crispy biscuit according to the flavour you choose, i chose red bean then she will crush it up and the wrap with the crepe. pretty nice . didnt get to try the 2 mister donut as too full! we were filled when we went to bed!

drinks for our last nite! We won a plastic air bottle that looked like the orange bottle. ours plastic was strawberry thou!Day 7 : XMT area. we had our eggy breakfast then we head out to walk around wanted to try the soya but in the end we scrape it. then we head to mister donut. the donut is different and really nice and soft. it was good. then we headed to check out the xiao hong lou nothing much as they were not open yet. then we heade to get our 2nd and oso last bowl of ah zong meesua. the weather was so hot and we were lucky we were their prob 1st few customer we had the space to ourselves and we stood near the fan to eat. Shanice i remember you said not too much chilli! and it helped cos its really hot stuff!then we went to play basketball! i played 3 times only the 1st round i completed by myself cos hand tired oredi! Gx was hooked! then we head back to check out lugguage. then bac on the streets to find tu chan. got more sun biscuits, a packet of sweet potatoes, some sesame biscuits and i got facial mask. went into tianhou temple which was in between other newer shophouses. then went into a aircon shopping mall. got lunch at one of the taiwan chicken fastfood chain. the chicken nicely seasoned! the fries were not potato but sweet potato! we were declared broke! haha penniless after buying 8 donuts and a packet of duck tongue for bro. then we had a treat from our richer frens! snow ice from 3 sister brother. dun think this is the same as the 3 brothers which was better. then we headed bac to hotel and lucky us we were not caught in the drizzle. thats our total luggage! we were over by 20kg! slept on the bus and it was raining heavily all the way but stopped when we arrived. then i went to do tax refund on the agnes b bag we bought and we had NT300+ to spend! we went in to the airport dfs and we walked and finally 25mins before boarding we sat down and ate. gx had a bowl of beef noodles and i had ordered a packet of dumplings to share. Our frens ordered and treat us a "mochi strawberry cake" and jus right before boarding i asked gx if he still had cash and jus right with NT38 i bot the other cheese flavoured mochi cake!

SQ has been good. the space we had was unexpected. there was room for me to jus glide thru gx without him standing up to give way. then we had bailey on the rocks and thats when i had the 2 mochi we bot! the cheese one was so good! wished i had time and money for one more! in fact many more! dinner was not bad, i had white wine and the haggan daz chocolate ice-cream went well with another bailey haha it was gx's actually. the landing was super smooth. we arrived eariler as there were not many passenger on this flight. no more purple absolut dam sad is there any one with an extra botttle who is willing to sell me at dfs rate PLEASE if you have spare me a bottle! cos thats missing from my collection... thanks in advance
