concert for Diana

i am so glad the princes organised such a concert where theres new and old singers and arts.

the whole concert was 6hrs long at the new wimberly stadium on July 1st on Sunday. but i caught the repeat telecast on ch18 on Monday. didnt expect it to telecast it and watch from midway, caught tom jones and some others and when we were heading out of the house jus b4 i was like what i am gog to miss the musical section. lucky checked timing repeat at 7.30pm to 1,30am...

went out with his parents and gx to get some stuff and the weather is killing and for coming up next 7 days it would be outdoor most of the time... glad i cut my hair! got home to rest for awhile then went to meet his sis for dinner. ... missed the 1st half-an-hour. rushed home and stayed glued to the tv. well not everyone i know and nice to hear... some new acts not bad. i did switch to & fro to other channels. but to me the 2nd 3hrs were better... more oldies... the musical part was great bcos got to hear the famous Cat's Memories, Andrea Bocceli sang a part from Phamtom, Josh (the one who sang YOU RAISE ME UP) and the original actress who acted Christine, Sarah Brightman sang All I Asked Of You. Beautiful. the london ballet did the swan lake, it was good loved the music since young. everytime after an act they would play clips of Diana. she's jus got such a big heart. amazing lady.

the one that i was waiting for is actually Rod Stewart. He was like the last few to come out. i was really hoping that he will sing the song that i wanna hear most... most of the singers sang 2 songs and when he finished his 2 songs i was like disappointed cos not the song i wanna hear.

but when he continued to give speech... and the group of young people preparing standing behind him i was really hoping that it will be it and YES he said the title and i was like numbed...
he sang and i wept. yah i am a cry baby. this song meant alot to me. its a song that i match to a person in my life that i have mix feelings for and i know i will regret not communicating with him as much when we are all still around. this was a song when i play on the piano and cry. eyes were wet but was controlling alot cos in-laws and gx was watching with me. love rod stewart's voice. glad that i still got to see him perform esp this song. Thanks to the 2 princes! i am really glad i got to see this performance.

then i realise when they recap the whole day performance i realised what i had missed in the first half-an hour... elton john's opening with candle in the wind and Duran Duran. also finally got to see a idol who i tot was missing over the years, someone that i listen to when i was in primary school, Jason Donovan. its was great to see but so tiring cos i sat there all the way glued to the tv. i managed to watch to the end and in the end only me left in the living room. gx and mum left 20 mins before the show ended it was 1.30am but it extended as elton john had some technical problem and can't come out on time... went to bed by 2am.

i need to thank one person : my father-in-law.
its his off-day. but he knows how much i wanna watch this and prob my MIl told him how much i would wanna stay on this channel. i was glad they allowed me to finish the show.
