Nesa's 8th bdae!
nesa chose hello kitty for her bdae. the party colours are pink, red and white. she is a lucky gal, aunt o bought her hello kitty tee with little twin stars jeans.
Kitty theme! ann & i got her many things to put into her goodybag. all kitty stuff like pencils, paper, magnets, kitty packets of mashmellow, biscuits, star-shaped rice crackers, kitty bubble bottle. ann got her the balloons and i got her kitty polariod film. her mum got the kitty table cloth and kitty paper plates.
her party food was thai and vietnamese. its alot of work cos thai food has alot of ingredients that need to be cut, diced and chopped. i did the squid salad but it didnt turn out as well as patsy's cos i think mine was too watery thus taste wasn't alittle diluted. 
mum, aunt and nesa are amazed with the vietnamese rice paper cos after soaking a hard round opaque rice paper it turns soft. aunt k and mum did all the veg shredding! the peanut sauce in the recipe was too watery... i saved it by draining away most of the liquid and added lots more peanutbutter and peanuts! i did the marinate for the vietnamese porkchop for the 1st time, turn out a little too salty but some say its ok, uncle k and aunt m who visited vietnam early this year, said it taste like the ones they had in vietnam. aunt k is really good at grilling it. i quite like it, think i will do this again to eat with rice.

aunt k was incharge of wantan prawns - this dish is good when serve hot... cos the skin turned soggy after it cools down. she was oso incharge of cutting the veg platter, the chicken wings grilled by ann always turn out in perfection. admire her patience! 
our jobs in the kitchen was shared and mainly mum assisted all of us who needed help. mum fry the pat thai for the 1st time... she was so worried cos sh doesn't even know how it should taste like, look like but she is very good at cooking so i encourage her to do it cos i dun know how to fry noodles! mum was afraid that there food may not be enough so she cook chilli prawns... hot and yummy!

nesa received lots of presents! think the coolest gift she got was the whole set of hello kitty computer accessories. esp the keyboard! twins were so cute, they were eager to see what was in their goodybags! they laid it all out!
