85th birthday

will i live till 85?

Grandpa had his 85th birthday bash yesterday at Hotel Royal Jade Restaurant. Gerald and I went to pick up the cake from patisser and when we got to the hotel it was filled with people! As grandpa is not well the ADULTS decided to throw him a bigger bash so other then us there were mum's cousins and their kids... the kids are slightly younger then most of us. the waitress who took the cake over held it with one hand i ask her if she can hold nicely she replied YES SHE IS HOLDING NICELY! i then tell her xiaojie my cake is $300 please hold it nicely! ITS true the cake is $288. she jus dun get it CHINA GAL! she was stubborn very attitude i then tell her with her hand under the cake. i then walked off if anything happen to the cake i will get her! Then i talked to the manager about the cake arrangement. told her to take good care of the cake as its expensive, she knows my uncle so she knows what i say weighs... the waitress freaked out but i didnt even complain about her... it was purely telling the mgr dun push the cake in tell me when its out so i can arrange the candles myself, then we cousins will push it in.

we all waited for grandpa to arrive, while waiting to take grandpa's surprise look... as he didnt know his extended relatives will be coming, i got my bro to pose "retro" with the wall i better not post the pic if not i sure will kana from him but he did a good job... waited very long jus when i walked bac in to take a seat he arrived. he was looking good in the new robe uncle K brot from shanghai. He was happy... really happy and surprise to see so many people. the first dish... sharkfin soup...$350 or $380 a pot. BUT ITS REALLY FILLED WITH SHARK FINS! and everyone can have 2 bowls and some had 3... thr broth was good thick and taste fantastic. for the first time we had too many bowls till we say its enough. these are some food we had... and we had birdnest for dessert. yes... for grandpa, and we get to enjoy the delicacies too. thats one share... its a huge FIN!grandpa's favouritecrab, scallop, eggwhitethe white stuff aregeoduck with sea cucumberafter the fish, didnt even touch the noodles... so full!

the cake was a gift from five of us... mango basil. I like it alot but gerald was disappointed with the small decor... lucky aunts say its very pretty and nice to eat... i like it alot even though i really think the ornaments should be bigger!then we grandchildren pushed in the cake and he was happy... we can see he was in a better mood, better condition today. after the cake cutting the boys gave him his present they shared. Grandpa stole a smile... the boys bought him a set of mini mahjong and a mini mahjong table. after that... we proposed 3 toast with super loud yum seng to him and he was smiling all the way... i was thinking if thats what he could hear most clearly at the party! i am glad we did it as his grandchildren. even nesa who is only 7 shouted. glad she joined in! thats my red nail! first time color so red!

we KIDS went out of the restuarant and started doing Silly things like retro group poses haha thats the pic where we stand in line one behind another. then the huge group foto of everyone who turned up. after all the relatives left, we had our own family time and grandpa wanted to say something to us but they got him to write it down first. He then insist on reading it out and he say with might he was very happy.

this is the dress i picked for my sis...

i was almost in a old drama ... rolling down the curvy stairs scene, very common in old shows... as we walked outa the restaurant, down the curvy stairs (picture of stairs above) both hand carrying paperbags... i lost my footage when i was looking at this boy crying, screaming his lungs... then i fell a few steps and very dramatic somehow i knew i was gog to fall, no scream as there was no time, i was shock but lucky my hand reached for the side of the stairs and managed to break my fall... but i felt as thou i was in a position about to roll down and according to gerald who was 2 person away from me i looked like i was gog to roll all the way down but somehow i sat on the steps instead. when mum came out from the lift she was shocked.... drama right... no sprain... jus some skin gana rubbed off and bruises... and the kid stopped crying when i fell... IDIOT! gerald was damn worried but when i stood up he started rattling i should watch my steps lah...bahhhabbahhh.... i still find it funny haha i am jus unlucky! and felt so silly to fall but still i smile when i tink what in the world am i thinking!!! why me!went back to uncle m house and the boys played mahjong with grandpa while the rest of us watched the bdae video checking out the fotos taken and the adults talked about the long time no see cousins... i hope our family remain strong... i want it to remain strong.
