CLARIFICATION!

well i need to clarify : my FIL just wants to gather with his friends cos last trip was 20 yrs back! the thing is MY FIL DUN DRINK OR SING! he just sit there listen to them say the same things every nite! but 20 years... thats why he sees them everynite.

but overall it was a nice trip still ... haha eye-opener cos everynite we go different eating places they sing like ge tai regardless live stage or karaoke box with small tv... we went to a coffeeshop to eat by ourselves after KE LOK SHI temple: the boss went to fiddle behind this counter near us then suddenly we hear music... LOUD music then his SINGING! he went on and on and even talk to us and say this is for you and thank you like a SHOW!!! happening??? its their culture. he perform cos he sees CUSTOMERS as AUDIENCES!!! They jus love singing...very hokkein style even when they sing chinese like in the 70s! but the trip to the old shophouse which was the old chinese clubhouse was nostagic except the drinking! they do that everynite... till 2am. thats why Gerald have to drink on behalf of his dad cos his dad gets headache bad headache if he drinks! and their drinking culture is not drink on your own timing... everytime SOMEONE rise a glass EVERYONE rise their glass and drink... if someone bottoms up everyone does that and they dun drink by mug they drink by short glass??? the type u drink martel hard liqour with... but many, many glasses drank...the people very RE QIN so its very paiseh to reject one... they really down average 10 bottles tink thats very little liao! yesterday was eat finish dinner start drinking after 10 bottles went on to clubhouse and continue. i was suffocating and headache cos i can't tahan even one smoker can you imagine all smoke then in a room no windows except the small doorway to the main hall??? we got our way and we went bac without FIL ... he came bac later. the food is great and the sightseeing was good the friends were nice except the singing and drinking culture was an eye-opener. my SIL and I were like passing eyes everytime the singing starts! she will always exclaimed "OH NO.. NOT AGAIN! haha. earlier blog was me feeling very frustrasted the whole morning. cos i really think is a waste of time and there were so much we can do with the time but wata do... poor gerald is on his way to work... tomolo morning he will be back then again work mn ... poorthing
