Oscar

OSCAR ... not an award but an important test.

One Stop Clinic for Assessment of Risk for Fetal Anomalies. So today Friday 28th Nov, i was pretty nervous as its to screen for risk of fetal annomalies, in particular Down's Syndrome. Bad start as i forget where i put the scanning form... left the house without finding it... then when we got there i was told by the nurse... i need the form... went to the clinic but its not open... gx was mad but really he haven got to the point that its normal to be really forgetful... emmm ... excuse? somehow i really turn very forgetful! we had breakfast at delifrance then head back to wait for clinic to open...

got the form head back to the 4th floor and sat down to wait for my turn... was alittle nervous when we went in for the scan... when the nurse put the scanner on my tummy... she searched for our little one from the right to the centre and found baby on the left.

when we saw our little one... GOSH!!! so active! our baby was bouncing! seriously moving... alot! so cutez! like baby was excited! the nurse just exclaim that wow your baby is very active! then she was so gentle when she ask little one to slow down so that she can get a scan. then after the zoom in, she zoomed out and told us our little one is stretching! yes we both saw it too! then i saw the little hand raised! so cutez!

when the nurse took a few more scans, we were very quiet watching... i feel nervous waiting to see what she might say of the scan... she says everything is good... really? or consoling? then she showed us the scan from the head angle... baby was still moving and bouncing! i saw our baby's leg, little nose and just before the scan ended... the nurse highlighted to us that our cute little one just touched his/her own feet with his/her hands!

gx was thrilled to see our little one! when we left the room, he kept saying bouncing, bouncing, bouncing and that make me really happy. then we went into another lab to take blood test. he was so sweet to block my view of seeing the needle being poked into my hand... the nurse laughed when he did that.

went home to tell mil about the scan and her grand-little one. she got excited too. called mum to tell her how our little one is doing. but most important of all is the phone call after 7pm... from the gynae... the results are in but the clinic is crowded and the nurse say they will call me later... going to meet mum for dinner... hopefully our result is good... that our little one is healthy...

can't forget how we saw our little one bouncing! the feeling is amazing!
