Mothers' day 2008

sis was in-charged of finding the place for lunch. wanted to eat early so that we can bring mum to elsewhere to walk. decided to have korean. sis was recommended this korean owned restaurant Togi at east coast road. we ordered 9 dishes not including the appetisers they served.

like the appetiser rice cake, the ginseng chicken soup here is clear and nice, love the saba fish alot, i like the seasoning dips here, very fragrant and tasty. gx love the sesame, wasabi with soy sauce alot. the other dish to try was oyster egg. didnt expect it to be little egg pancake with a huge oyster in each.

i ordered a pear drink and i love it. dun like the kimichi seafood potato pancake thou. i didnt eat the beef tanghoon and beef wrap in lettuce. the pork wrap in lettuce was ok like the other pork dish better.

Mum was offered a cup of hot drink blended from different kind of nuts including pine nuts. it was warm and nice way to end our meal. didnt take all the pictures! cos the table was really filled and we were trying to clear as much as that we got space for the dishes!
i was so lucky that mum wanted to walk back to a bakery she walked past earlier on. finally i found the old bakery that i was looking for! been searching for ages and great finally found it but they were sold out! the only thing that was available was this almond cake but it was ex but mum bot it! will be back and gx know i will be back! he knows i been looking for it.

i planned the next place. since we were there, i always wanted to check out the germany bakery, Werner's oven. glad that C knew where it was and when i got there its crazy! we didnt go into the restuarant but to the bakery. it smell so good. and i had my tray filled. sis and bro each had a tray. the things i got are traditional custard horn, huge cheesy Brezel (german spelling i think) - as big as a piece of kitchen towel, apple filling with almond icing topping -apple B Kuchen, cheese bun, cinnamon danish and banana danish!

haven eaten any, keeping them for breakfast. didnt take the bread buns and pastries bro and sis took. after that we headed to T3, sis wanted to see and bring mum for a walk. we went for a tea break at ah wang, like Ya Kun better. had a nice talk. think mum was happy.
we fetch C home and bro recommended us place to buy dinner. not too bad. pretty full!

when i got home i saw a dragonfly on the stick above the orchids. Mum's orchids are growing so well, they bloomed again! my present for mum was a top that we bot 2 weeks ago from robinson. think mum was very happy today thou i know she's tired.
