so far so good!
ever wonder sometimes when people say they had the best ... ... is that really the best in the world? for me sometimes posh=best, simplicity=best, unexpected=best, magnificent=best, its ones experiences that determines whats best. i count myself pretty lucky to have tried many things and seen places, have not conquered the whole world and dun think i will but i treasure the experiences i had. i do miss travelling but its time to save for bigger things. maybe plan further trips?
gx had a talk with sil and that inspired me to list my tots... gog to list my own personal best list. a little recall.
the best pizza i had :
in Vatican City - a small shop that just opened for biz that morning thus serving fresh and hot from the oven pizzas! had it for breakfast after visiting the Vatican St Peter's and looking at the magnificent Michelanglo's Sistine Chapel. the toppings was jus fresh tomato paste, cherry tomatoes, some soft white cheese and some leafs. no idea what i was having but i always wanted to try the simplicity and find the goodness and i did.
the best gelato : in Rome. has to be Rome cos they had the many different flavour and they are very generous! much got much bigger scoops than in Venice. After the 1st nite we had it the next day too, didn't regret having it cos won't be able to have it back here.
Best Risotto : had it in Venice. ever tried once in Singapore and i dun like it. The Venetian Risotto was very sticky and full of flavour! love it but i don't like the fish in Venice. They smell like their famous canal! can't find the pic for risotto will try to locate it... very creamy. but heres a pic of the stinky fish from the romantic canal? the fish is prob not from the canal but couldn't shake of the tot cos the fish really fishy and the canal really smells!
when will i be back in Italy again? would love to go back to Florence, Rome, Vatican and maybe to other parts of Italy! if i go Milan it would be to see the Last Supper printed by Leonardo Da Vinci. Venice is beautiful and i feel that once is enough.
