Sunday Lunch with family (love it!)
when i asked sis for direction to get to col bar, she got really excited. i knew she knows how to get there cos they went there for photoshoot. i needed to get there cos i needed to go checkout the cooking school i am gog to. I booked 6 lessons and i need to know how to get there on my own! she then suggest we go have lunch there on Sunday.
we arrived early so gx went to check out the cooking school with me. it was not a huge place but i like cosy kitchens. looking forward to start! the school founder even had a photo taken with Anthony Bourdain. head over to find seats and glad we did cos it was getting crowded and the flow of people never end.
very old school. dun think can find elsewhere. there were too many people if not i would have taken some of the interior where people Q to order their food. there was a weighing scale from my memory lane from the 80s! as we couldn't get seats outdoor which seems cooler under the hut, so we sat indoors and aunt s says it reminds her of eating in a school canteen. very old school prob in the 70s!
chicken merryland had the most things on the plate. a fried piece of chicken. very cripsy but for me, the chicken cutlet lacked seasoning.fries and baked beans. bacon and egg. tomato and unexpected goreng pisang. the banana was so soft within the cripsy batter. verdict : i like the porkchops and lambchops better but wonder if i could order the fried bananas for desserts! anyway i would be back there for 5 times cos gog to attend class there. there are a few others to try but they seem more ex cos its italian restaurant, a restaurant or pub named cicada and a chocolate bar.
