teatime & desserts

Just finished reading a story. took me 3 days to finish. i considered that pretty fast cos i am a slow reader. the story has lots of up and downs and a sad ending. could make many connections with the book. after this book i am gog to start reading the books i got from borders 2 weeks ago!these are not stories but more like self-improvement books.

Tea time... I planned this tea time with gx about 2 weeks ago. i chanced upon the hokkaido food fair and of cos i was excited! i bought the ramen and cooked for dinner. gx loved it and i went back to get more. then i bot an expensive packet of seaweed but yet to try it. i tried many types of mochi! love the softness yet chewy texture. i didnt take pics of mochi thou... too excited to pop them into my mouth... i was at the fair 3 times to the fair! but it was the 2nd round that i bought the most. i got Hokkaido cheesecake. a block of it cost me $11+. I got the blueberry flavoured cos the blueberry looked so big! i wanted to have tea with gx on sunday!

Its time for tea finally! last sunday was back at mum's cos sis's in-laws came over for lunch gathering. this sunday was teatime with gx! i cut the cheesecake into 2 blocks and placed them on the gold plates i just bought. this month i spent money not on clothes or bags or shoes... i got lots of kitchenware. to go with the cake i made gx his cuppa hazelnut chocolate coffee and vanilla sencha for myself. but tea was pretty unromantic... he was catching the highlights from the eurocup... but i let him watch as he enjoyed the cake. cos he started working for uncle and thus had to sleep early and unable to join the boys then to catch the euro fever in the wee hours... i let him watch the program.

for $11+ i think it was worth it to try this cheesecake. it wasnt too small cos each of us had a fair share about coffeebean's raspberry cheesecake slice. jap cheesecake has this light texture. personally i like the thicker texture cheesecakes. but this blueberry flavoured was not to bad. there were enough berries and the berries were sweet. naturally sweet tasting with not too much sugar. was too full for dinner cos i had very late lunch at mums'. i went back to massage her legs. had too little time on sat to chat with her cos gx went to play tennis with the boys and uncles at polo club - thus he came back very late to fetch me over. he was sweet enough to suggest to bring me home to see mum on sunday. for dinner i had 2 small slices of lemon tart. the lemon was sour and tangy! woooo... esp when it was icy cold. while gx went out for dinner with his fren playing aunt agony role...

took this pic at serene's wedding. the hotel had many paintings up on the wall... love the spanish dancer series but i didnt take the pics of it... this dragonfly painting caught my eyes... i like the details on the wings but i felt that there were too many colours on the painting... ... i feel like painting again...
