wednesdays with dap!

dap is gog to off most wednesdays in July and we are gog to be partners in exploring singapore! we started with our first wednesday exploration yesterday. we walked. and i really mean we walked alot. its was nice to walk with her. its not our first time walking from one destination to the next.

met at plaza sing, walked all the way to sunshine plaza and we had dimsum at victors. just 3 dishes and hk stocking tea. we then proceed walking to get beancurd tarts. rule was now we can only get 8 in a box... whatever... we got 8. sat down and we each gobbled 2! the beancurd was soft and cold. then time to burn it. we walked uphill towards peace centre and climb on to get to an interesting place call Old School. we came here cos she wanted to check out designer wear. i got myself a tee. she spent $600 on a pants and a very nice cutez white top. throughout the day we held on to our buys in this black bag.

we then walked down to buy 4d... haha to try to win our buys. too bad for us, our winning luck is not with us yet. took a train to clake quey and we started walking towards robertson quey to find the art gallery to see Henri Matisse's work. when i spotted this wall... had to take pics... i love decorated walls.

the art display was small. i missed the last one they had on picasso. simple stokes and u can see what he was trying to show... love it. we took a rest at a outdoor bench. then we decided to head to chinatown. we check the bus list ... no bus goes to chinatown. so we walked. got to people's park hawker centre and we settle down for a cold sugarcane drink. then we went hunting for my blue necklace. close to what i want but not the exact but better than not having it.

from circling the shops at people's park, we continue to walk towards club street... to ann siang street. popped into a shop that sells books. got these 2 fairy tale postcards. love it. they have many different a-z postcards. but to buy the whole set will be really ex! dap bot rubber dino set from another interesting concept shop. then we spotted a HUGE roll of paper... had to shoot it!

dap took alot more fotos using her lomo fishlens camera. can't wait to see her works when its printed! after the long walk, we rest our feet at ted. then we head off to have our dinner at the newly renovated chinatown market. we waited for 40mins for our claypot rice! wrong choice for 2 hungry ones! but it taste soooo good! after that we head home and we are gog to meet and chill out again next wednesday!
