weekend parties!

thursday i was invited to join D'na to attend a home party. met up with d'na and took pats car to ghim moh. found the name of this place very familiar. when i reached i remembered i came here for blue spoon. this is where i first bought my frozen stuff. very sad that blue spoon seems to have closed. when i entered the house... the smell froze me and i was thrilled to find out that we were going to have thai soup noodles for lunch! the soup smelt so good. the same aroma of the noodle soup we had in Koh Samui! it taste sooo good!

i had the pork version while the rest had beef. the beef the lady host cooked looked so good. i can tell cos i used to take beef. after the home party i followed pats went to get party stuff first then to golden mile area to get ingredients for her party food. after that we head to geylang for lei cha but it was closed. we ate rice and dishes instead. went home and i felt exhausted.

friday party : slumber party by myself. i slept non-stop. in between got up to load fotos on facebook. i was pure lazy! i got up to meet angie cos she came to hand me image cd oso i got ready to go buy ingredients for sandwich. promised pats i would make sandwiches for her party. met aunt k and followed them staight to uncle j house. its Grandpa's 1st death anniversary. so fast its been one year. he should be happy to know the family got stronger together cos family bonds got stronger during this one year. everyone put their heart into gathering together this year. the boys were sweet to buy durians for grandpa and for the family.

saturday: busy day! early in the morning i checked the internet to find the presents i wana get for the next 2 parties. i have decided to get balloons for the kids. lucky i chanced upon a useful website and the lady boss was nice to help me out even before her shop is opened! i was thrilled that i dun have to step out at all to go get "the impossible to bring home presents by train "! cos i ordered 2 sets of balloons. one was a mini bouquet of balloons and the other is HUGE! gx was kind enough to get it after work and i had more time to start making the sandwich which is very time consuming! yes i cut all the ingredients myself! i shredded the 8 parts of chicken breast myself. started work from 11.40am till almost 4+ then i was done cleaning up!

when gx came back, he looked so cute bringing home the BIG balloon while he was smart enough to keep the bouquet in the car for the nite's party. sil got a shock when she saw it! . we attended neighbour's daughter first month party and we head to bukit panjang area to go attend pats' uncle's son's 1st bdae party.

she said her uncle like crowd and its ok for us to join in the party! as i dun know the host... i decided to get balloons for presents. i got the balloon boss to arrange matching plain round balloons with the pooh bear balloon. i like the bouquet but found the string alittle short... but when we hand over to the bdae boy, it was the perfect length. guess they know better!

the party was crowded! there were many people in the tentages set up. its like "kampong" style but modern setting! i was amazed! there were 2 set of cooking area set up. one's to fry the yummy battered prawns and the other food. the other station was cooking minced meat mushroom mee! the fishball and fuzhou balls were so good! all handmade! the rambutans were with long stems and they were tied to the tree. on the opposite tree were bunch of tiny, really small bananas still attached on the long main banana stem! they even had durian but they were gone by the time we arrrived! ate non-stopped! the food was good and atmosphere was very different! it was also a gathering for gx and his team of frens from bwl to do some catchup! it was great to be around them. fun! d'na was so motherly! she kept getting us drinks and fruits! the party was nice and interesting. the food was good! took a pic with my new thai fren. she kept saying to me "puipui, puipui" when she see me returning to the table with more food! puipui is fatfat in thai! we head home to rest cos i was tired out by the preparing the sandwich.

*Sunday party! it was time for minnie to go! when gx first brought her home on sat, he looked so cute holding on to her. i wasn't that shock to see the big minnie cos i saw her on twins' bdae. but i was as shocked as sil when i first saw it then! got the bdae gal this balloon cos i got to know from her mum the cake is minnie mouse design. Pats wanted to get the happy birthday helium balloons for the party but it was too early then when we were shopping for the party stuff and she wot have time to get them on sunday. i tot it will be cute to give this as a gift. when minnie first got home, the strong wind blew her around and she ended up viewing the kitchen, looking the fishes in the tank and even watched tv! mil like the minnie mouse too. when she got home sat nite, she got shocked to see such a big minnie and seeing minnie floating around was funny.

mil getting minnie into the back seat... when mil got off i got minnie in the middle row. as i wanted to take minnie in our car, gx struggle to get her out with one hand cos his other was holding tennis stuff and bag. so poor minnie had to do a matrix in mid air to get out of the car. gx was not in the mood to take pics cos i was jus holding on to a bag of bread and snadwich filling while he was struggling... anyway the bdae gal and frens all paused when we entered the living room with the big minnie balloon! pats told me her gal likes it alot cos she even asked mum to help stop some kids from hitting her balloon. glad she likes it.

my favourite game for the day is the yoga! each team send a kid up to follow a pose and stay as long as they can. the kids can really concentrate cos they all wanna win! the little gal in blue could stand in her position for a pretty long record time! the last game was team effort in finishing up the food. they were all very united!

the cake was so pretty! love the shot where the youngest one peck his sis. the bdae gal was in for a surprise when her candles kept relighting! the rest of the kids cheered for her and when it keep taking turns to light up, the kids helped her blow them out! it was fun lloking at kids blowing the candle off together. so cute.

gx and i left the clubhouse and head back to pats house for a massage. the thai lady was playing with some cards and asked me over to get my fortune told. she said that i have money (which i dun have right now!) later with pats translating for us, my cards says that i will have money slowly but surely! haha!!! i am rich! hahaha... just wish it would be faster thou! she said i got a good good husband! money money many! hahaha! when??? i can't wait!!! she say my cards are good! j's fortune is good! and she gets it within these 7 days! so lucky! hy and gx oso got money but... x reveal too much! their cards are good too! after that gx started his massage first. i was in terrible pain esp when she pressed on all my toes!!! its unbearable! but she made me relax and laughed hard when she imitate me asking gx to relax... gx fell deep asleep when it was my turn! but he jumped up when he heard me squeal in pain! i must have been very loud!

went home after having curry chicken for dinner at the clubhouse. while gx clears his letter mails while i rested in the sofa... sil bought soya beancurd for supper and i was sooo sleepy after supper! while i slept he became iron man. we had a very busy weekend!
